Steve is a partner with Somerville Partners (SP), a firm of management and organizational psychologists based in Denver, Colorado. He has worked in executive selection, development and deployment since the late 1970s. SP brings the science of psychology to the business arena, integrating individual capabilities with organizational culture and business goals to create opportunities for maximal contribution to organizational success.

Steve's focus is on organizational effectiveness by levering executive strengths, optimizing crucial relationships both within and outside the organization, and meeting organizational challenges efficiently and effectively. He has worked with organizations ranging from small venture capital-backed start-ups to multi-billion dollar multi-nationals.

He has worked with some executive (Director level and above) teams since 1979, coaching and consulting with different CEOs, their direct reports and their teams. He assists executives in understanding and leveraging their strengths in new and changing situations and positioning themselves for greater responsibilities and success. He also provides a mirror for executives, looking realistically at their opportunities and limitations, while devising strategies to deal with both effectively.

Steve holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Pennsylvania State University. He is licensed to practice (Colorado license #262) and Board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). He holds numerous awards from state and national professional associations and was appointed by three Colorado governors to serve on statewide boards or commissions. He has also served on a number of not-for-profit boards.
